The menswear pieces sent down the
catwalk by Black Trash had Zimbabwe Fashion Week’s theme in mind. The
collection was nothing short of “Breaking Barriers”. The blazers featured were very
experimental but worked. Black Trash has always been innovative and continues its
quest for fresh, edgy, eccentric and alternative fashion. It’s hard to put this
brand in a bracket because of its idealistic approach to fashion. The Botswana
based brand explored territories anew with its ZFW debut. The brand already has
an international recognition with over 10years behind them; they have played a
part in growing awareness of local fashion brands within the continent. Let’s
hope Black Trash will keep on breaking barriers for years to come, after all that’s
what fashion is all about.
