about the highlight of his career so far. He tells us how he has achieved his
success through hard work. He is optimistic of African fashion and believes
that it is possible to achieve the same level of success as other international
brands.
What sets Czeerat
apart from any other fashion label?
Colin: It’s a diverse mix of styles,
colours, textures and sometimes daring.
I love your eclectic
mix of colours. What inspires your colour palettes and usage?
Colin: I just can’t stop when it
comes to colour. Colour brings life.
What is your work
style?
Colin: Clean, comfortable, trendy
with loud fabrication or just a top up of bold loud statements.
What’s been the
highlight of your career so far?
Colin: Africa Fashion Week was absolutely
fantastic, there is more to come from here on.
What do you hope to
see in the future for African designers and fashion?
Colin: You know I have realised
that there is no easy way to what one wants to achieve.
What advice would
you give to other young aspiring designers?
Colin: Like I said there is no easy way of achieving
what you want. Hard work, passion and love for your work will always get you
through. You must also surprise yourself it shows growth.
Colin: Comfortable, street chic, sexy ...
Who is your style
icon?
Colin: I love Jean Paul Gaultier
and Galliano craze.
What else would you
be, if you weren’t a fashion designer?
Colin: An event coordinator
preferably something artistic or creative. Or I could have been a dancer or
musician.
What keeps you up
late at night?
Colin: (The power cuts), I have
to work night shifts instead ha ha ha. When I am inspired, I keep going. I get
excited and keep going.
If you were stranded
on a desert island what three items would you take with you?
Colin: Bottle of water, umbrella
and solar charged camera.
