Versace’s pre-fall collection presentation was modelled by Zimbabwean born model Nyasha Matonhodze. She did not disappoint, like always she did the clothes justice. What I really love about pre-fall collections is how they can be whatever season you want them to be. Shoes can be swapped to match the season you choose to wear the clothes.
I like how Versace has kept this collection so
current without throwing in their trademark textile prints and elements. The
Versace collection gives a nod to the current A/W 2011/12 and the coming
S/S2012 trends. It has elements of all the seasons and still very current,
making it fit for any season. The designs are so wearable and commercial which
is important when it comes to pre-fall collections.
We saw fabulous fur, herringbone,
houndstooth, lace and the subtly mischievous bondage elements. None of these
elements compromised the glamour evident in the feminine silhouettes. Looking
forward to the big show, roll on Milan Fashion Week.
