Africa Fashion Week 2011 Zimbabwe Showcase Colin Ratisai

The creative director behind the CZeeRat label Colin Ratisai has mastered the art form of the female silhouette very well. His garments have excellent draping and bold textile prints and colours. The designer has previously designed for famous artists and celebrities. He has also designed for theatrical productions.  His inspiration comes from street style of Zimbabwean women. Lately there has been a craze for ruffles; we can see how that is reflected in Colin Ratisai’s Spring Summer 2012 collection.

Colin Ratisai studied design in Cape Town and has showcased his African Couture and theatrical designs all over Africa in countries including Niger, Swaziland, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Here are my favourites pick of his Spring Summer 2012  collection showcased at AFW.
