It’s interesting to see how we are seeing through the sheer
trend, season after season. Soft and seductive netting, basket weaves and sexy
geometric cut-outs in fabrics like chiffon and lace still prevailed on the
runways this spring summer 2012. Jacob Kimmie, KLUK CDGT and Miata Marimo have
gone for loose and relaxed pieces with a great flow. Maki Oh has cleverly
dignified their pieces, whilst Laquan Smith has opted for a beautifully crafted
lace.
When it comes to trends don’t do it to shock but to flatter.
Same goes with sheer and see through clothes. Show off some skin, a part of
skin you are comfortable flashing. Conceal and reveal accordingly. Whatever you
decide to wear summer 2012, why not go for sheer alternatives to show off a
great asset?
